Sonar 23 Simple Half Model
This model is a simple half hull of a Sonar 23. The
model was built at a scale of 1"=1'and is 23" long. The model is
mounted on a 12" x 29.5" mahogany board finished with 6 coats of gloss
varnish and a final coat of satin (rubbed effect) varnish.
The lines were available in the form of waterlines, although
the drawings I found were very low resolution jpegs. Consequently
I had to redraw those lines and then extract a set of transverse sections
(stations) from them. That process involved drawing the stations
and then refairing the drawings.
