This model is a simple half hull of a Sabre 426. This boat has the shoal draft winged keel. I also added the varnished teak toe rail with bow, midships and stern chocks. The cove stripe is done in 24 ct gold leaf on marine grade vinyl. The model is built to a scale of 1/2"=1' and is 21.25" long. The model was built using the original lines provided by Sabre Yachts. It is mounted on a satin varnished cherry board.

I did one thing differently during construction of this model. I logged my time. This model took me 26 hours to complete, from the intial request for the plans from Sabre to putting the final strip of tape on the shipping box.
