Pisces 21 Detailed Half Model - 1" = 1'
This is a detailed half model of a Pisces 21 day sailer.  This model is built at a scale of 1"=1', so the hull is 21"" long.  The Pisces 21 is a Chuck Paine design based on the Herreshoff Fish design.  The builder is the Classic Boat Shop in Bernard, ME about 3 miles from my house.  The model was built from a copy of the original lines provided by the Classic Boat Shop and many pictures taken by me and by Jean Beaulieu, the builder.

Here is the finished model.  The model is mounted on a mahogany board finished in rubbed effect varnish.  All the trim on the model is gloss varnished mahogany except for the tiller.  The real tiller was made from ash, but I substituted spruce since I didn't have any ash.

Here is the stern view showing the rudder with its pintels and gudgeons.  You can also see the aft mooring cleat, the cabin top winch and the step up in the deck at the cabin house.

Here is a view looking down into the cockpit.  You can see the unfinished teak seat and cockpit sole hatch.  You can also see the compass and the cabin top winch.

This bow view shows the chain plate for the forestay, the bronze bow chock, the track for the self tending jib and the chain plates.
