Hinckley Sou'Wester 30 built at a scale of 3/4" = 1'

This model is a 1961 Hinckley Sou'Wester 30.  The model is approximately 22.5" long.  It is mounted on a mahogany mount finished in gloss varnish.  All wood trim on this model is gloss varnished teak.  The Hinckley Company didn't have lines for this model, but I was able to get partial lines in the form of a series of cross sections from the Mystic Seaport Museum.  I used those lines in conjunction with pictures of the Sou'Wester 30 to draw and fair a new set of lines.  The balance of the measurements were taken off a copy of the original brochure provided by The Hinckley Yacht Brokerage.

Here is a stern view of the model showing the cockpit detail.  You can see both the old style primary and cabin-top winches, the tiller, the companionway and slide as well as the gold leaf cove stripe and talaria.

Here is the bow view that shows the cowl vent and cabin top detail.  You can also see the chain plates bow chocks and forward mooring cleat.  The ports are bronze.
