This series of pictures shows the construction of a CS-36. I couldn't find any drawings for this boat, but was able to find a good outline drawing and sone bow and stern-on pictures. So I drew and faired a set of lines from the outlines and pictures.

Here is the backplane after fiberglassing. On this model I cut the cockpit out and put the back of the cabin house on the backplane.

The frames have been glued on. Note that the transom is solid balsa and has been sanded to final shape. I have also put the sheer and waterline planks on.

The model has been planked down to the waterline.

The hull is now fully planked. Both the keel and rudder have been built up from solid balsa and sanded to shape.
This picture shows the roughed in cockpit and deck

Here I have started the filling and fairing process. The entire model has been faired and the hull below the waterline has been primed.

The fairing and priming are now completed and the model is readt to start construction of the cabin house and cockpit coamings.

I have now built the cabin house and cockpit coamings in balsa and then faced them is styrene. The cutoiuts for the ports are obvious in the cabin house.

This picture shows the cockpit faced in styrene and ready to paint.

The cabin house and cockpit are now complete, primed and ready for final painting.

Here she is with the topsides, deck, boot and cove painted. I have also installed the pedestal and wheel, winches and one of the cabin top hatches.

I have now built the aluminum toe-rail, chocks and anchor roller. The model is sitting on the partly varnished mounting board.
Here she is completely finished and ready to ship out.
