As always, the first step was to cut out the backplane. This picture shows the backplane sitting on the rubbed effect varnished mahogany mounting board. Note that I have marked the locations of the frames and waterlines on the backplane.
Here I have cut out the frames and glued them onto the backplane. I have also put the deck and the first two planks on at the sheer.
Here the model is planked down to the waterline. At this point I change the planking pattern to mark the waterline and to cut down on the complex curvature of the planks.
Here is the fully planked model after sanding. I have also marked the waterline plank. You can see the difference in the planking patterns above and below the waterline if you look closely.
Here is the model after fiberglassing. The next step is to fill and fair the model in preparation for painting.

Here is the model after I have finished filling, fairing and priming in preparation for painting. The rudder is on the right end of the stick below the model. Tomorrow morning I will paint the topsides and deck.

Here is the model with the topsides and deck painted and the rudder in place. It is sitting on the mahogany mounting board. Tomorrow I will paint the boot and cove stripes. After that I will let the paint cure for a day or so and then paint the bottom and mount the model.

This morning I painted the boot stripe and put the marine vinyl cove stripe on the model. The only thing remaining is to paint the bottom after the boot stripe cures enough to be taped over with masking tape.

Here is the finished model mounted and ready to ship out tomorrow.
