Nov. 13, 08 - I started work on the oak mounting board for this model several weeks ago, so it is now finished. Yesterday I finished scaling the lines and then cut out and laminated the back plane for the model. Today I cut out the station molds and started planking the hull. I will finish planking the hull tomorrow.
Nov. 14, 08 - Today I finished planking the hull and built the keel. After I took this picture I put a layer of fiberglass on the deck. Tomorrow I will fiberglass the hull. I expect to finish fiberglassing the model over the weekend, after which I will befin filling and fairing the hull inpreparation for painting.
Nov. 20, 08 - Since my last update I have fiberglassed, filled, faired and primer painted the model. The next step is tp spot fill a few imperfections that the primer highlights and then to start painting the model.
Nov. 28, 08 - The model is now nearly finished. As of today I have one coat of paint to go on the topsides. After that is done I will paint the boot and cove stripes and then the bottom. Once the model is fully painted I will put the name graphic on.
